The problem of fake-Viagra (or Cialis & Levitra)

As you certainly get Viagra - Cialis spam emails like everyone, you may have wondered whether any of these offers might be "for you".
I want to discuss some points with regard to the typical email spam Viagra, or Vlag*a offer.

First question you may have asked yourself already:

"Is this all fake stuff?"

Most of it, yes.
Fake pharmaceuticals are a big business, mainly in China. All kinds of pharmaceuticals are faked but the most profitable and most successful one is certainly Pfizer's Viagra.
Why?
There is an "embarassment factor" involved. You know what I mean. Mail order pharmacies and online pharmacies simply provide much more discretion than any real world pharmacy.

Downside:
Any business involved in sending goods from literally anywhere in the world can hardly be controlled for quality. And since it's so much cheaper to buy fake Viagra in China than buying it from a wholesale pharmacy distributor and obtain a pharmacy licence, it's done the easier and cheaper way in most cases.

This is the simple and for some people shocking explanation as to why you almost always get fake stuff delivered whenever you order online, especially if you are focused on a price advantage in addition to the desired discretion.
Offers like: "Buy 30 tablets Viagra now and get 3 bonus tablets!" are a surefire way of selling fake stuff. Ask yourself:
  • Have you ever seen a similar offer from any local pharmacist, no? Why not?
  • How do they add the 3 tablets since there is no such thing as a 3-tablets-box of Viagra?
No legitimate pharmacist is allowed to break a genuine Viagra box and de-blister the tablets and add some of them as a bonus into "special packages". Have you ever wondered who handles these extra tablets? Did he or she at least wash his/her hands after the last ... ?

So, the first point we can sum up is:
Bonus offers show clearly that there is no legitimate pharmacy involved.

Next I want to discuss the price structure of some online pharmacies.
